According to a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Dubai Holding and Dubai Municipality plan to Dubai’s largest public park stretching across an area of 143 hectares. Located in Dubailand, this innovative green space area enlarges Dubai’s public space by around 17 percent. With the objective to offer a recreational and health-promoting zone, visitors can choose to walk on the pedestrian pathways of about 30 km, jog on the 20 km jogging path or cycle on the 14 km bicycle lane. Nature enthusiasts are able to enjoy the green nature by having a walk on the nature path of about 7 km.
Dubai’s Largest Public Park Offers 45 Sports Grounds
“This park is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to expand the emirate’s green spaces. The project will establish the largest public park in Dubai, and will meet the highest levels of sustainability while raising environmental awareness among its visitors. I also want to take this opportunity to commend the continued cooperation between Dubai’s public sector entities and local developers, which together enhance Dubai’s global reputation as a premier destination to live, work and visit, through projects such as these.” said Eng. Hussain Lootah, the Director General of Dubai Municipality.
Parents will be spoilt for choice: They are invited to choose one of the 55 playgrounds for their children. The same applies to sportspeople due to the 45 sports grounds. Furthermore, five event spaces, retail spaces, coffeehouses, and restaurants might ensure optimal recovery and entertainment.

In addition, such parks act as important links between different parts of the wider city, positioning them as popular destinations that draw people together. The development of this park, in partnership with Dubai Municipality, aims to highlight Dubai’s remarkable landscapes and position it among the most prominent global cities.”
