FCS will bring together corporate partners, government officials and industry experts to exchange ideas, showcase solutions and form valuable connections. It will link innovators with investors, giving them the opportunity to secure investments to fund the development of smart city technologies.
The show aims to address socio-economic and environmental challenges through five leading future city solutions: Artificial Intelligence, Smart Infrastructure, Smart Mobility, Blockchain and Sustainability.
The theme of this year’s show is ‘Propelling Globalization through Digital Transformation’ and will showcase disruptive technological solutions.
Disruptive innovation refers to the use of emerging technologies to deliver new or existing services in radically different ways. This is in contrast to incremental innovation, which focuses on making good services better for existing customers. In addition to valuable networking opportunities, the show will feature workshops, an exhibition of technological solutions, an innovation lab, an international conference, a tour of the UAE’s state-of-the-art sustainable hubs, a gala dinner and awards ceremony. The FCS awards will recognize pioneering cities that promote sustainable development which aims to transform lives through extraordinary innovation.
Host city Dubai already leads the way in technology in the region, having established Smart Dubai as the lead government agency to direct the city to becoming the world’s first blockchain powered government by 2025. It also aims to be the world’s hub for 3D printing and reach 25% driverless transportation by the year 2025.
